What is World Read Aloud Day?
World Read Aloud Day is about celebrating the power of reading aloud. It encourages children and adults to grab a book, find an audience and read aloud! The event is now celebrated by over 173 countries around the world.
When is World Read Aloud Day?
World Read Aloud Day is held annually. It is traditionally the first Wednesday in February. The next one will be on the 7th of February 2024. This will be the 15th annual World Read Aloud Day.
How did World Read Aloud Day start?
It was created by a non-profit organization called LitWorld with the aim of bringing people and communities together through the power of words.
